The NerdzFactory Foundation has stepped up its advocacy on the impact of climate change by taking the campaign to several schools in Lagos.

This is as the effects of climate change continue to emerge in many ways, including the nation’s flood catastrophe.

Adetola Salau, the senior special assistant on education to the governor of Lagos State, addressed the students and declared that climate change was a serious issue that should be understood rather than brushed off.

In her words, “Since it is you and possibly your children who will be the ones dealing with the effects of climate change in about 30 years to come, it is important for you to be interested and become engaged from now.”

The purpose of the climate change and sustainability clubs is to promote STEM and green careers among young people while educating teachers, students, and school administrators about environmental sustainability and climate change education.

The project comes at a time when the state and the world require effective climate change intervention.

It was gathered that NerdzFactory Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to giving young adults across Africa/Nigeria 21st Century technology skills needed to innovate, become self-reliant and also create jobs for themselves and others. Its mission is to catalyze every young person to a prosperous future.
