A group operating under the auspices of Land Republic has inaugurated an eco-friendly Smart City in Nigeria as part of efforts to combat climate change and cut emissions.
Speaking during the inauguration, Azeez Abubakar, manager of the organization’s sustainability project said that the event was part of celebrations for the group’s first anniversary under the theme “Lé Debut: celebrating greatness.”
According to the organization’s co-founder Victor Adegbile, the event was to honour the tenacity and work that had gone into creating a top real estate brand in Nigeria and throughout Africa.

Adegbile pointed out that the project aimed to continue the advocacy for taking action on climate change.
He said, “as the world seeks to fight climate change and reduce emissions, the Vert City could not have come at a better time”. “This exquisite development seeks to offer Nigerians across the world a taste of the future, where technology is in sync with nature”.
He noted that With Vert City, every family’s dream of green, healthy and sustainable living is now within reach.
