The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy, sunny and hazy weather conditions with chances of thunderstorms and rainfall over parts of the country amidst the presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday.
The agency noted that there is an improvement in visibility over the country and itโs expected to continue in the next few days as the North and the North-Central cities are expected to be hazy in good visibility throughout the elections day.
NiMet, however, said cloudiness is expected over the southern region with prospects of early morning thunderstorms over parts of Cross River State.

According to the agency, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms by afternoon into the evening in parts of Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Cross River.
NiMet added that air quality is unhealthy over parts of the central states and also unhealthy for a sensitive group over the remaining parts of the country.
โThere are prospects of scattered thunderstorms and cloudy conditions over Lagos and Ijebu ode in the afternoon and evening with day and night temperatures of 30 to 36 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius.
โThere are chances of rainfall and thundery activities over most parts of the country in the next 24 hours,โ NiMet further predicted.
