Climate Change: Agro Preciso partners NICCRA to enhance smart agriculture for farmers

Agro Preciso LTD, a company that specializes in agriculture, has partnered with the Nigerian Center for Climate Renewal, Resilience, and Adaptation (NICCRA) to advance sustainable goals in an effort to improve the integrated approach to managing landscapes to help adapt agricultural practices, livestock, and crops to the effects of climate change.

Speaking at the signing of the MoU, the Managing Director of Agro Preciso Ltd, Nurudeen Samuel Lawal, said the essence of the partnership is to foster a formidable relationship with stakeholders who are already at the forefront of the sector.

He claimed that current climate conditions have resulted in losses for investors and farmers while stressing that a collaboration with a significant stakeholder like NICCRA will help address all issues.

Also speaking, Abdullahi Ali Geidam, the Executive Director of NICCRA, stated that it was crucial to comprehend agricultural best practices and data collecting, adding that the collaboration with Agro Preciso LTD will hasten the implementation of these features and further lessen the impact of climate conditions on farmers and agricultural products.
