The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief items to 1,289 flood victims and vulnerable individuals in the Ajingi and Albasu local government areas of the state In conjunction with the Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
The items, according to NEMA Director General Mustapha Ahmed-Habib, were intended to help the victims.
Speaking on behalf of Ahmed-Habib, Dr Nuradeen Abdullahi, the NEMA Coordinator for the Kano Territorial Office, said that a total of 495 flood victims and 150 vulnerable people in the Ajingi Local Government benefited from the gesture.

In his words, “In Albasu Local government, 494 flood victims and 150 vulnerable persons benefited from the 7,415 bags of grains approved by President Muhammadu Buhari, from the National Strategic Reserve Stock to be distributed in Kano.”
