Apple revealed on Wednesday that its manufacturing partners now support more than 13 gigawatts of renewable energy globally, an increase of over 30% over the previous year.
By 2030, all Apple products will be powered by renewable energy, according to a commitment made by more than 250 suppliers spread over 28 nations and regions. According to the corporation, this constitutes more than 85% of its direct production spending and pledges totalling more than 20 gigawatts.
Apple uses cutting-edge methods to advance toward its 2030 objective of becoming carbon neutral for every product, having already achieved carbon neutrality for its worldwide corporate emissions.
According to the release, this includes 4.7 billion dollars in Green Bonds, which aid in funding the development of clean energy solutions and the decrease of emissions globally.

“At Apple, we’re carbon neutral for our own operations and innovating every day to go even further in the urgent work to address climate change,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
In the past year, more than 40 manufacturing partners have signed up for Apple’s Supplier Clean Energy Program. Apple has urged its suppliers to completely source renewable energy for all Apple-related operations, including power.
“Our new supplier commitments demonstrate the rapid pace of progress we’re making toward our 2030 carbon neutrality goal,” said Lisa Jackson, Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives.
