The Centre for Climate Change and Development (CCCD) has urged young people to get involved in climate change initiatives.

This was stated by the organization’s director, Prof. Chukwumerije Okereke, as he recognized the top three finishers in the recently finished second national essay contest, “Climate Change and Nigeria’s Economic Development: A Letter to my Incoming President.”

During an award ceremony event hosted by the centre in partnership with the Sustainable Development Center, the candidates whose essays were chosen as the best after careful review and assessment by an impartial panel of judges received N200,000, N150,000, and N100,000.
