Yasmine Fouad, Egypt’s Environment Minister, and Ahmed Al-Ansari, the Governor of Fayoum, met virtually on Saturday with an investor in the Fayoum reserves to talk about promoting ecotourism in the reserves.

To fully enjoy the reserve’s picturesque surroundings, Fouad emphasized the significance of providing a variety of ecotourism activities appropriate to the nature of the reserve. He also emphasized the importance of offering a distinctive and enjoyable ecotourism experience while protecting natural resources.

The minister stated that this will be carried out in collaboration with the private sector to boost environmental investment in reserves, particularly in light of the ministry’s recent establishment of the Environment and Climate Investment Unit.

On his part, Al-Ansari emphasized the significance of encouraging environmental tourism investment in the governorate in order to expand the governorate’s chances for employment and meet its development needs.

The investor, whose name was omitted from the statement from the Environment Ministry, has reportedly looked through a variety of concepts to create ecotourism potential in the Fayoum reserves.

The governor of Fayoum and the minister of the environment both stated their shared aspirations, with the minister emphasizing the need for a practical, doable action plan to build on and gradually expand ecotourism operations in line with the nature of each reserve.
