Fatai Ilesanmi, Co-Founder/ Project Lead of GreenEarth Conservation Impact and Awareness Initiative, has called for the adoption and implementation of robust environmental and climate policies at local, state, and national levels, so as to safeguard Earth’s ecosystems and uplift communities disproportionately affected by climate change across Africa.

Ilesanmi made the call while speaking on the reasons for the inauguration of the NGO that is committed to taking environment and climate education across the continent.

“We are excited to introduce the GreenEarth Conservation Impact and Awareness Initiative, a dynamic non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to fostering environmental awareness and driving sustainable development. Join us as we work to protect and preserve our planet for current and future generations,”he said.

He noted that the NGO’s mission is to safeguard Earth’s ecosystems and uplift communities disproportionately affected by climate change across Africa through education, collaboration, and strategic action.

“We bring together governments, academia, civil society, and grassroots stakeholders to promote environmental literacy, restore degraded habitats, advocate for just policies, and scale science-driven solutions. By bridging local knowledge with global expertise, we ensure inclusive progress toward a sustainable future for all,”.

Speaking further, he said “We envisage a world where humanity lives in harmony with nature, characterized by thriving biodiversity and climate-resilient communities leading the charge in planetary stewardship. We envision a future built on global solidarity, where urgent climate action and collective efforts eliminate environmental injustice and secure a healthy, sustainable world for generations to come.
