EY has launched its Middle East and North Africa (Mena) Climate Change Readiness Index (CCRI), a pioneering tool designed to among other thins, help countries in the region assess and improve their resilience to the impacts of climate change.
The Index evaluates how effectively the six GCC nations, together with Egypt and Jordan, are prepared in several areas, including their ability to fund and implement effective adaptation and mitigation policies.
It offers scorecards that let governments, investors, and citizens monitor how well the included nations are doing compared to global benchmarks on 37 quantitative and qualitative indicators of climate change preparation.
The Index provides a thorough review of the regional and global context in which these nations operate, as well as the economic, political, and social variables that can affect their results.
