Amidst preparations for the upcoming 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will take place this year in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), some civil society organisations in Abuja on Wednesday, deliberated on how to combat climate change.
The deliberation took place at a National Consultative Workshop on the 2023 Climate Action Advocacy Strategy.
The event was jointly organised by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance, and the Climate and Sustainable Development Network (CSDevNet).

Prof. Ibrahim Choji, chairman of the CSDevNet board of trustees, said he was optimistic that the collaboration would combat climate change.
On his part, the Executive Director of PACJA, Dr Mithika Mwenda, assured that, as a continental platform, it would implement strategies to combat climate crisis.
Also, Mr Ayele Kanede, Regional Programme Manager on Environment and Climate Change, SIDA, vowed that the organisations would jointly tackle climate change at the grassroots.
