Employees of Abbey Mortgage Bank, at the weekend, participated in a walk from Victoria Island to the Lekki link bridge to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change.

Speaking during the march, Lolita Ejiofor, the company’s Group Head of IT and Operations, said that walk was intended to raise awareness of the terrible effects of climate change and how they have affected so many lives and livelihoods.

According to him, the company truly empathises with families who were affected by the recent floods in Lagos, including many lowland inhabitants that were completely ruined.

He said that the company remains committed to working with the Nigerian Red Cross Society to help flood victims.

Story was adapted from Punch.
