Turkey’s TV documentary to draw attention to climate change

Türkiye’s first international English-language news channel, TRT World is set to air a documentary that will be hosted by Hollywood’s actor Adrian Grenier to present climate change and its effects on the world.

In a statement this week, the TV station said the documentary which will cover the problems and solutions from all over the world, as well as the work of experts in the field, will be shot in Türkiye, Egypt, and the US.

The feature-length production will deal with the appearance of disruptions caused by climate change in different geographies and adaptation solutions developed to overcome the difficulties arising from these problems.

Directed by award-winning Susan Gray, the documentary will also focus on the best practices in the fight against climate problems and will explore topics that are considered to be the most urgent environmental problems such as global warming, a decrease in water resources, food safety, and waste management.

The documentary will focus on these urgent problems and the most effective solution and methods in combating the difficulties encountered and feature interviews with people from different fields.

Also, the production will give wide coverage to the extremely important, practical, creative solutions presented by Türkiye, especially the Zero Waste project carried out under the auspices of Türkiye’s first lady Emine Erdogan.

The documentary will also touch on agricultural innovations currently under development, such as vertical farming.

The title and release date of the documentary film, which is still being shot, is expected to be announced in the coming days.
