Womenovate unveils plans to upskill women amid climate change

Womenovate has announced that plans are underway to empower women in building resilience in the educational landscape as part of efforts to address the challenges of climate change by leveraging digital skills.

Womenovate is a Female focused online learning platform globally offering women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Mathematics) access to resources, training courses and Jobs from world-class universities and companies.

Motunrayo Opayinka, the chief executive officer of Womenovate who made this known over the weekend, said that the organisation had concluded plans to host its 2024 Education Day Conference with focus on educational resilience in the face of climate change.

According to Opayinka, the 2024 Education Day Conference will hold on Monday, January 29, 2024 inside Abuja Continental Hotel from 9:00 am to 4:00pm. She noted that the theme of the conference is, “Educational Resilience In The Face of Climate Change”, and underscores the organisation’s commitment to addressing the challenges posed by climate change and leveraging digital skills to enhance educational service delivery and outcomes.

The 2024 conference among other things will expose participant to practical workshops that will equip them with essential digital skills, empowering them to adapt and thrive in the ever-evolving educational landscape.

Also, it is expected that there will be engaging panel discussions meant to explore the impact of climate change on education and ways in which digital skills can be harnessed to improve service delivery and educational outcomes.
